“What is the minimum spread?”
It is one of the first questions many traders ask. But before comparing spreads, leverage or trading platforms, there is a more important question:
Who is legally responsible for the account?
The website used for registration, the company offering local support, the institution executing trades, and the technology appearing on the screen may not all be the same organization.
That difference matters.
A broker or account provider establishes the financial relationship with the client. An introducer may help connect an applicant with that provider. MetaTrader 5 supplies the software through which prices and account information are displayed.
Each has a separate function.
The institution named in the client agreement should be the starting point. Traders should confirm which company provides the account, receives the deposit, applies the trading conditions and processes withdrawals.
An introducing company may legitimately assist with communication and onboarding without holding the permissions required for trade execution or client-money handling. Its role should be described accurately and separately from that of the financial institution.
The trading platform is another area of frequent confusion. MT5 is widely recognized, but software familiarity is not proof of regulation. MetaQuotes develops the platform; the financial institution connected to the account determines the products, pricing, margin requirements and execution arrangements.
The same software can therefore connect traders with very different account providers.
Before depositing, prospective clients should check:
The legal entity named in the account agreement
The regulator responsible for that entity
The activities covered by its licence
The company receiving the deposit
The institution controlling execution
The applicable withdrawal procedure
The complaints and dispute process
This is particularly important when a financial brand operates through several related entities. A licence belonging to one company should not be assumed to cover every company within the group.
A local office can make communication more convenient. A familiar platform can make navigation easier. Neither replaces verification of the account provider.
When evaluating forex market access in Dubai, begin with the entity and its permitted activities. Platform features and trading costs should be compared only after the legal relationship is understood.
In financial services, the first layer of transparency is being able to identify who does what.
